Mudflap’s app is the strongest starting point for an owner operator who wants discounted diesel without applying for a traditional fuel card. The driver finds a participating stop, selects the fuel purchase in the app, receives a fuel code, and pays through the connected payment method.

Mudflap publishes cost-plus discounts of up to $1 per gallon at more than 3,600 participating truck stops. The app is free to download and does not require a credit check or gallon minimum. Its main limitation is that the discount network is much smaller than the number of locations where a general payment card may be accepted.

TCS is designed specifically for trucking companies and owner operators. It reports average savings of 51¢ per gallon based on actual Q1 2026 in-network client transactions and lists more than 2,300 discounted locations.

The card is cash-secured rather than dependent on conventional credit underwriting. TCS also says clients do not pay more than the cash price at more than 12,000 accepted locations and pay no transaction fee at in-network truck stops. This program works best when its discounted sites match the carrier’s regular lanes.

RTS publishes average diesel savings of 45¢ per gallon at more than 3,500 fuel stations. Its program also extends discounts to thousands of service locations and connects with other RTS services such as factoring, load boards, insurance, and trucking software.

That broader ecosystem can be useful for a carrier that wants fewer vendors. However, RTS offers multiple card structures, so applicants should request the specific pricing, funding rules, network, and fees for the option they are offered.

AtoB combines broad Mastercard acceptance with discounted pricing at participating truck-stop partners. The company reports an average truck-diesel saving of 42¢ per gallon across partner truck-stop customer transactions in the second half of 2025.

AtoB is attractive for fleets that value card controls, expense tracking, route tools, fraud controls, and flexibility beyond a closed truck-stop network. The important comparison is the exact AtoB product because prepaid and credit options can have different fees and approval requirements.

Comdata’s Simple Saver plan targets smaller trucking operations. The published offer includes discounts up to 25¢ per gallon at TA/Petro and up to 8¢ at Pilot and Love’s, with no monthly account fee or truck-stop fee.

The tradeoff is a published one-time setup charge, and the highest discounts are tied to specified chains. This can be a strong option for carriers already using those locations, but a weaker fit when routes depend on independent stops outside the preferred network.

Fleet One EDGE is positioned for over-the-road fleets with 1–50 vehicles. WEX publishes average fuel savings of 15¢ per gallon, no fuel transaction fee at more than 4,000 in-network sites, and acceptance at more than 12,000 truck stops.

The card also includes discounts on tires, maintenance, wireless plans, and other operating expenses. Out-of-network locations may charge an extra transaction fee, so acceptance should not be treated as equivalent to discounted or fee-free use.

RoadFlex Unlimited is a prepaid Visa product with a published 3¢-per-gallon discount at fuel stations and truck stops nationwide. It does not depend on a narrow discount network and states that it has no per-transaction or out-of-network fee.

The discount is smaller than the headline averages published by trucking-network cards, but its predictable acceptance can be valuable for fleets with irregular routes. The disclosed costs include a $25 account setup fee and $3 per active card monthly.
